Each year Gemfest engages a variety of fabulous entertainers for our visitors, and the ample shaded seating presents a wonderful opportunity to take a break from your Gem hunting.

On the main stage we have all-day live music from some top-notch entertainers.

And, the entertainment does not confine itself to the stage… comedians and roving performers provide the most unexpected entertainment all over the Gemfest site…

After all of this entertainment and with a pocket full of sapphire jewellery you are probably hungry and thirsty. Fear not… there is plenty to satisfy you…

There’s plenty to keep the kids occupied and amused at Gemfest. From our Kids Amusement area, to roaming clowns and kid-friendly acts, and Market Street stalls selling all manner of toys and novelties, your kids are sure to have a great time.

But the fun of Gemfest doesn’t end when the gates shut. Apart from all of the other great activities and attractions of the Gemfields if you happen to be in the area on Saturday night you are in for a real treat…

The Saturday Night Spectacular is a free outdoor event hosted by the Rubyvale Progress Association….and it is always a biggy!

The venue is the Rubyvale Miners Reserve. The party gets underway on Gemfest Saturday with the lighting of bonfires at sunset. Boogy down to live bands sponsored by The New Royal Hotel and marvel at the gorgeous fireworks display provided by Miners Heritage Walk In Mine. There’s hot food and bar…..so bring your chair and dancing shoes for a top night – Gemfields style!

After all that walking around the gem inspired exhibitions and taking in all of the entertainment, you will need some refreshments. Don’t worry we have plenty to choose from so dig in.
