There are a variety of places to stay at any of the four towns on the Gemfields. You can choose from motel style accommodation to Bed & Breakfast to Caravan parks. If you plan on coming to Gemfest – ‘Festival of Gems’ in August, it is advisable to book your accommodation well in advance.

If you are unable to secure a site at a caravan park, Gemfest opens Roy Day Park at Sapphire for the duration of Gemfest. Powered sites are $10, unpowered $5 and hot showers are included. For bookings, phone Joan Arndt: 07 4985 4142.

Camping is permitted on the Gemfields except within a 1.5 km radius of the towns. Fees are payable to the Mines Department or any Agent on the Gemfields. Many of the fossicking parks are Agents.
