About Coolamon Mining

Coolamon Mining is a family owned and operated company with sapphire mining operations on the Central Queensland Gemfields and at Lava Plains in Nth Queensland.
Our CQ mines produce a rainbow of colours, including the amous blue/yellow parti-colours, greens and the rare and beautiful golden yellows, as well as zircons. The Lava Plains field produces very fine vibrant blue sapphires. Our sapphires and zircons are quality gems which are cut to a very high standard. Since we supply these gems direct from our own mines, we are able to guarantee their authenticity and origin, and issue personally signed Certificates of Authenticity to confirm this. While simple heat treatment is used when necessary to remove silk, this is always disclosed to our customers.
Beryllium treatment or other forms of chemical modification are not used on any Coolamon gemstones. We are also able to supply quality Marlborough (Qld) Chrysoprase in calibrated cabochons, custom cut designer freeforms, carvings and beads. Experience personal and friendly service and purchase your sapphire, zircon and chrysoprase with confidence direct from miners who supply only Guaranteed Natural Australian Sapphire, Zircon & Chrysoprase.
