Coolamon Mining is a family owned and operated company with sapphire mining operations on the Central Queensland Gemfields and at Lava Plains in Nth Queensland.
Our CQ mines produce a rainbow of colours, including the amous blue/yellow parti-colours, greens and the rare and beautiful golden yellows, as well as zircons. The Lava Plains field produces very fine vibrant blue sapphires.

Rubyvale Gem Gallery opened in 1988, and is now situated in their brand new shop on Main St. in Rubyvale. For over thirty years Peter Brown has been mining and cutting the local sapphires, and is recognised as one of the best gem cutters on the Gemfields today.
